Welcome to the Beta Preview of Maven EVO, our latest and most ambitious app designed for drone enthusiasts. If you’re flying a DJI Mini 3 or Mini 3 Pro, this update is tailored to unlock new possibilities and elevate your piloting experience. 🚁
Why Maven EVO?
When DJI released the SDK 5.x for the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro, it marked a major technological leap. However, this also came with a significant limitation: the 5.x SDK is not compatible with the older 4.x SDK used in our previous app. This incompatibility meant that simply updating the existing app was not an option.
To support these new drones, we had to start from scratch and build an entirely new app. While this was a challenging process, it also gave us the opportunity to rethink and improve many features, ensuring that Maven EVO is tailored to meet the needs of modern drone pilots.
Maven EVO is the result of months of hard work, learning, and innovation, and we’re excited to finally share a glimpse of what’s to come.
Key Features to Look Out For
Maven EVO introduces a suite of powerful tools, including:
Waypoint Navigation: Plan and execute precise flight paths with customizable waypoints. Perfect for capturing cinematic shots or automating survey missions.
Advanced Mission Planner: Take full control of your flight missions with an intuitive interface to configure complex routes effortlessly.
VR Mode: Immerse yourself in a first-person view experience, bringing a whole new level of excitement to your flights.
Virtual Copilot: Enable collaborative piloting or let the app assist you in controlling your drone for smoother, more efficient flights.
These features are crafted to maximize the potential of your DJI Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro, ensuring seamless integration with your drone’s capabilities.
Release Timeline
We’re excited to bring Maven EVO to life, but we’ve encountered some delays in development. While we’re a few months behind our original schedule, the new ETA for the full release is before 2025. Thank you for your patience and continued support—it means the world to us.

Maven Lite 1.1.1
-fixed an issue where the image was not displayed correctly on Air 2 and Air 2s drones -fixed an issue that could cause the application to crash
In this version of the app we have modified all our source to accept translations, it has been a lot of work to make all the labels on the screen adapt correctly to the possible different lengths of the text.
We believe that the bulk of the work has been done, further translations of the app will come soon.
what is the difference between Maven and Maven Lite?
Maven is our app for iOS based devices, it was developed from 2017 till now and contains all features shown on this site.
Maven Lite is our Android version released in late December 2022 The app contains fewer features than its iOS counterpart but will be constantly updated in the coming months until it reaches full Maven functionality
Update March 2023: added VR mode
Here is the list of differences:
it might seem that Maven Lite is very limited, but still the virtual copilot allows you to perform these functions:
POI spotlight
GPS Follow/Track ME
Cable Cam
Automatic Orbit
as mentioned earlier maven lite will be updated until deserving the name maven! This page will be updated as progress progresses!
Maven for Android is here!! This is the first version of our app for Android devices! Tons of updates are expected in the coming months
Includes a faithful virtual co-pilot who will help you pilot the drone, allowing you to perform maneuvers such as:
POI spotlight
GPS Follow/Track ME
Cable Cam
Automatic Orbit
The app is compatible and optimized for:
Mavic Air
Mavic Air 2
Mavic Air 2S
Mavic Mini
Mavic Mini 2
Mavic Mini SE
Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual
Mavic 2 Enterprise
Mavic 2 Pro
Mavic 2 Zoom
Mavic Pro Alpine
Mavic Pro Platinum
Mavic Pro
Spark
Virtual Copilot
a totally new feature to the app, especially useful for drones without native Point of Interest functionality (e.g. Mavic Mini)
choose a point on the map, then ask the copilot to control the Yaw Rotation and the camera to look at that point while you are free to manually fly the drone
the copilot has also more advanced skills like “orbit” ,”Follow / Track ME”, “cable cam” , check the manual
the copilot will open the door to great shots even to inexperienced pilots!
Follow ME! *
a complete GPS follow functionality that include
-Track Me (follow from any direction)
-Altitude follow**
-Orbit while follow
-automatic home point update
-live follow parameter update
* requires a GPS-equipped device ** requires a Barometer Sensor-equipped device
Cable Cam
Unique function that allows you to take smooth shots of your points of interest. Also great for creating hyperlapses.
Orbits
Orbits to the max! No other app allows you the flexibility to change orbit radius and speed while it’s running! A real fun
AR Localizer
You have three Augmented Reality Localizer that will help you orient yourself on the Drone video feed.
The green locator will always show the Home position, the red one will show you the Position and Distance of a Point of Interest that you can choose on Map. The blue one show the GPS position of the piloting device
GPS Error, compass error or barometer sensor error could affect the accuracy of the localizer but will always be a great help to find your destination.
Complete access to all camera settings
Sync flight logs to AirData UAV
The variety of android devices is so high that we can’t be sure it works on every device, and we can’t test them all, so to avoid selling you an application that might not work we decided that you can download and try the application for free.
It will be impossible to record videos from the drone while using the virtual copilot. Video recording will be unlocked via an in app purchase
The app require Android 7 or higher. A device equipped with GPS is required for “follow / track me” functionality. A device equipped with Barometer sensor is required for ” altitude follow” functionality.
improved the transition to a different radius during a high speed orbit
improved automatic yaw during follow me
Improved stability and fixed minor bugs
Maven 3.11.7 – change log
Fixed a “small” incompatibility with iOS 16.1 made the app extremely slow to the point of crashing when editing the Waypoint missions.
Maven 3.11.6 – change log
Fixed incompatibility with the Air 2S and the latest firmware (October 27, 2022)
Now with the mini, mini2 and mini SE the load mode (propeller cage) is automatically disabled when needed (most of the app functions require it to be disabled)
Maven 3.11.5 – change log
This update contains bug fixes and performance improvements:
Fixed an issue that prevented WiFi-only iPads from showing drone distance
Fixed an issue that prevented the map from working correctly when a drone was connected but had not yet locked onto the GPS satellites
Fixed an issue that prevented the exposure lock button from being visible on some devices
Reduced the size of augmented reality trackers
Reduced CPU load when using virtual stick missions and when using virtual geofences, optimizing processes and eliminating unnecessary ones
This update does not contain new features, but we believe it is important that all existing ones should work at their best, and there is always room for improvement.
